Application Process
The process for acquiring an offshore investor KITAS involves two steps:
- Obtaining an e-visa for entry into Indonesia
- Providing biometrics after entry and obtaining the KITAS
It typically takes around 7-10 business days to receive an e-visa.
Once in Indonesia, activating the KITAS takes approximately 3 weeks.
Required Documents for KITAS Application
KITAS Application Requirements:
- A passport with a minimum validity of 30 months (for a 1-year KITAS – at least 18 months)
- A bank statement showing a minimum balance of $2,000 (from any bank, in any currency, statement in English)
- A 4×6 cm photograph against a red background
- A permanent residential address in Bali (note: changing your residence requires updating your KITAS address, which costs 2 million. It’s advisable to provide an address with which you have a connection because:
- To extend the KITAS, you will need to have an SKTT (registration costs 3 million). For this, the ID of the premises’ owner, as stated in your KITAS, is required.
- Your email address
